About Connor
-
Connor Clark is the "Voice of the Golden Eagles" calling men's basketball and baseball for Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Clark was hired by ORU at the age of 22 taking over the full play-by-play duties with the Golden Eagles. In addition, he was also made the sports information director for ORU baseball in February of his first year.

Before moving to Oklahoma, Clark spent the last three seasons with the Lincoln Saltdogs of the American Association all while attending the University of Nebraska. His first two years were spent as the assistant director of broadcasting until he was given the lead play-by-play job in the spring of 2024.

A native of Lake Bluff, Illinois, just north of Chicago, Clark started his broadcasting journey as a freshman in high school at Lake Forest where he traded in not making the high school basketball team for a headset at the top row of the bleachers. The main motivation for the 14-year-old was to be a part of the program in any way he could, and telling the team's story was the best way to do that. It quickly expanded into every home football game and boys and girls basketball games.

When it was time to head off to college Clark chose the University of Nebraska's College of Journalism and Mass Communication where he got started right away. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic broadcasts looked strange in the fall of 2020, but the reps count all the same behind the mic. Clark was able to call men's and women's basketball, baseball, and softball in his first year for radio and television. In his junior year, Clark was selected to call one of the oldest rivalries in college football, Nebraska-Oklahoma. In his final year, Nebraska basketball made their first NCAA Tournament in a decade with Clark being on the call for Nebraska's student radio station 90.3 KRNU for 15 of those games, including two road trips.

After school and the minor league baseball season, a solo move to a state he's never lived in was daunting at first but has been made to feel at home with the people he is surrounded by. Outside of work Clark enjoys being with friends and family, working out, cooking, and going to concerts.
